Oil Painting Home Workshops Oil Painting Key Stages 3, 4 & 5 2-hour facilitated session Cost: £130 per class (up to 15 pupils) In this workshop, students will learn about the history of oil painting in western art and will be shown key techniques of painting with oils onto canvas. Using skills acquired during the session, students will then produce their own cubist-style ‘masterpiece’ inspired by works from the Herbert’s collection. Make learning outside of the classroom more accessible with our travel bursary scheme, funded through Arts Council England and the Department of Education. If so, you could qualify for a travel bursary of up to £250 per visit*, to support the costs of transport when visiting the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum and Coventry Transport Museum with your pupils. How to qualify: The travel bursary only applies to schools who book two learning sessions with us for the same group of pupils. This could include booking two sessions to take part at either the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum or Coventry Transport Museum, or combined across the two museums. Your school must have more than 20% of your children qualifying for pupil premium.
