Self-Led Visits

School groups are welcome to visit Coventry Transport Museum or the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum on a self-led basis. We encourage you to pre-book your self-led visit, to allow us to support you with your visit to the museum and avoid conflicts with other large groups who may also be visiting.

Self-led visits to Coventry Transport Museum for Coventry schools cost £75.00 for up to 32 children. Non-Coventry schools - group admission prices apply, please contact cvlearning@cvlife.co.uk for more details.

School groups visiting Herbert Art Gallery & Museum on a self-led basis may benefit from reduced admission rates. These rates apply to school groups of more than 12 children. Smaller groups will be charged the standard admission rate, including accompanying adults.

• £1 per child for schools within Coventry (postcodes CV1–CV6)
• £2 per child for schools outside Coventry
• Accompanying adults: free of charge

Please note: use of lunch spaces during self-led visits incurs an additional fee of £60 across both museums.

All costs are payable via invoice to your school.

Alternatively, if you book a facilitated workshop with our Learning and Engagement Team, admission is included in the workshop fee.

School Trail Kits at Coventry Transport Museum

Enhance your visit with a school's trail kits at no extra cost, with resources for you and your pupils to use as you explore the museum together. We’ll provide a short introduction and then leave you to work at your own pace.
