Fascinating Fossils
Key Stage 1 & 2
90-minute facilitated session
Cost: £130 per class (up to 32 pupils)
In this cross-curricular workshop, your pupils will have a unique experience of seeing Dippy the Dinosaur, currently on loan from the Natural History Museum, uncovering key facts about the nation’s favourite dinosaur with the Herbert’s Learning Team. Pupils will also get to handle real fossils from the Herbert’s collection, exploring how fossils are formed and why they are so important. Pupils will then get creative by producing their own fossil-inspired artwork to take back to school.
Teacher notes:
- The workshop involves messy materials. Aprons will be provided and accompanying adults will be expected to assist.
