Need for Speed
KS2 & 3
75-minute facilitated session
Cost: £130 per class (up to 32 pupils)
Starting in our amazing Land Speed Exhibition, home to the fastest car in the world, pupils will learn more about the science behind speed, including air resistance and friction. Then, back in our dedicated learning space, pupils can develop working models to explore these principles. This session also enables pupils to experience the land speed record, on our 4D simulator (terms and conditions apply, find out more details at your point of enquiry).

Travel Bursary Scheme
Does your school have more than 20% pupil premium children? Make learning outside of the classroom more accessible with our travel bursary scheme, funded through Arts Council England and the Department of Education.
If so, you could qualify for a travel bursary of up to £250 per visit*, to support the costs of transport when visiting the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum and Coventry Transport Museum with your pupils.
How to qualify:
- The travel bursary only applies to schools who book two learning sessions with us for the same group of pupils.
- This could include booking two sessions to take part at either the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum or Coventry Transport Museum, or combined across the two museums.
- Your school must have more than 20% of your children qualifying for pupil premium.
