Toy Time

Key Stage 1  

50-minute facilitated session, in your school

Cost: 

One session costs £150

Two sessions costs £220

Three sessions costs £280

In this outreach session, pupils will be able to see and play with Victorian toys and games from the museum. Pupils can also wear Victorian costumes as they discover how toys were made and how they have changed over time.

Teacher note:

  • This workshop is very hands-on and will require at least 2 members of staff to be present throughout

  • Identify and name a variety of everyday materials, including wood, plastic and metal 
  • Describe the simple physical properties of a variety of everyday materials
