About the Loans Boxes 

Loans boxes are a great way to bring the museum into your school with hands-on learning using museum artefacts or art materials.  

Each loans box has been curated to align with the National Curriculum to ensure learning is fun, engaging and relevant. 

There are two types of loans boxes available. 

History Loans Boxes 

The History Loans Boxes contain a selection of original and replica artefacts and a teacher’s guide  with suggested activities aligned with key topics in the History curriculum.

Art Resource Kits 

The Art Resource Kits contains materials, instructions and background information on artists and art movements for creative and engaging art and design sessions.

• Watercolours Resource Kit 

Loans details: The service operates on a half term basis and are available to nurseries, schools, colleges and universities.

All of our loans boxes are checked and sealed before they are sent out. We have also provided a teacher's guide to help you preapre the boxes for safe return to the museum.

Cost: Each loan box costs £50 per school per half term (unless stated otherwise), plus delivery of £30 (Alternatively, you can collect the loans boxes directly from Coventry Transport Museum and return to us to to remove any delivery costs).

Our delivery service includes courier shipping for schools outside of the Coventry area. Loans are delivered to the school premises and are collected at the end of the half term.
