Coventry Museums are able to visit Coventry Primary schools to deliver assembly presentations to your whole school, or individual key stages, about Coventry’s rich history.
This is now part of our virtual schools programming too, where you can gain access to a pre-recorded video, lasting 15 minutes, to stream directly into your classroom or school hall. As a member this assembly is included in your membership fee and available to you in the unique members login area, for you to use throughout your 12 month membership.
Should you wish to access the virtual assembly without becoming a member, you can make an individual booking at the cost of £20, which will give you access to the video content via Vimeo*.
*Please note access to the video content will expire after 2 weeks, but during this time you can share the content across your school. Members will retain access for the duration of their 12 month membership.
About the Assembly
The assembly, called Coventry Firsts, is aimed at KS1&2 and is highly interactive with lots of visual references. It encourages pupil (and teacher) participation and shares fascinating facts about Coventry’s rich history, its pioneers and its unsung heroes. It is a fun way to discover key facts about the city of Coventry and lasts approximately 15 minutes, making it easy to fit around your classroom timetable.
